…and the family ski holiday destination ~ La Clusaz !
Situated on La Clusaz’s principal piste, Chalet Panoramic boasts the most prestigious location. With breath taking views of the Aravis mountain range and the entire village (which is a pleasant five minutes walk away) the whole family is able to ski to and from the chalet door to no less than five ski lifts; beginners button lift, two cable cars and two chair lifts which place you directly onto any of the numerous superb slopes.
What gives Chalet Panoramic the edge is individuality, and personal attention to detail. This lies at the heart of the chalet where Simon, Lisa and their team, can often be found cooking up delights in the state of the art kitchen, tending the roaring fire, manning the bar, or readying the hot tub for their guests after a day skiing on the wonderful slopes of La Clusaz in the French Alps.
What you find here is the personal touch rather than the impersonal processed holiday often found in larger hotels or corporately owned chalets. Panoramic has been newly renovated to offer maximum comfort with 30 beds in lovely en-suite rooms. All chalet bedrooms are equipped with feather quilts, 100 percent Egyptian white cotton bed-linen, bathroom products, huge white towels, bath-robes, hair dryers and beautiful views !
Leaving the pistes, the fresh mountain snow, and crisp air at the front door, you come up the stairs and are instantly greeted with warm Alpine aromas, pine fitted interior, the roaring fire, the smell of cooking and a very friendly, chilled ambiance !
At the top of the stairs you are welcomed by a well stocked ‘bar’ with complimentary beers, wine, soft drinks, hot drinks and mixers, (you are welcome to bring your own duty free). The bar looks across the large open plan family room surrounded by huge sparkling picture windows that frame magnificent views of the piste on one side and down to the stunning alpine village of La Clusaz on the other. There are candle-lit dining tables and plenty of soft & ridiculously comfortable leather seating, pine furnishings and a central farm-style chimney…
The living room/bar also boasts an extensive multimedia system with masses of music and films for your enjoyment! Magazines, books, board games and the children’s toy cupboard are also available as is WIFI !
Just off the main lounge lies a magnificent decked south-facing terrace which is equipped with a traditional ‘Scandinavian’ hot tub (heated by a wood burner), wonderful La Clusaz piste views, sun chairs and table-tennis table for après-ski fun!
After a day on the slopes you are welcomed back, a snowballs throw from the piste, into the chalets ski room and heated boot room.
The chalet day off is Wednesday, although continental breakfast is served. This gives you an excellent opportunity to taste a Savoyarde meal at any one of the numerous superb family friendly restaurants in La Clusaz. We will gladly help you choose a venue, either in the village, or on the mountain, which will suit your requriements and make yet another memory for the family photo album!
the hot tub…
One of our best loved features here is our truly authentic woodfired hot tub !
- Traditional wood fired
- As the sun sets on another day, imagine relaxing and soaking away the aches and pains of a hard day on the pistes … in our amazing hot tub !
- Overlooking the pistes and stunning Aravis Mountains
- There’s nothing quite like relaxing & sipping a cold beer, whilst chatting or dreaming about the days skiing antics
- Early each morning we light and stoke up the fire, and during the day it gently heats up so it is just right when you return to the chalet at the end of the day.
Ski directly to the chalet door, take your boots off and leave them in our ‘heated boot room’ ready for the morning. Grab a quick shower, and make your way to the lounge, perhaps grabbing a beer at the bar en-route!
Stop for a brief chat by the roaring fire (some guests are sure to be reclining, absorbing the beautiful village views & still munching on the afternoon tea cakes !) before stepping out onto the deck, hanging up your robe and stepping into that gorgeous hot water. The traditional wood built tub feels great as you rest your head against it, smell the tinge of burnt pine wood air and just relax as the crispness of the evening comes in and the piste empties as the last few skiers return home and the mountains slowly turn pink…the aches and pains just fade away….
One of our guys will regularly come out to stoke up the fire and offer you another drink, your muscles unwind and you begin to thoroughly relax… now that is a holiday! Whatever next ? Canapes at the bar ? Four course evening meal by candle light ? Free bar… thoughts of another day skiing from the chalet door ?
